Migmom French Onion Soup (سوپ پیاز فرانسوی میگمام)
A comforting caramelized onion soup topped with melted Swiss and mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
Method
- Slice the onions thinly and sauté in butter over low heat until deeply caramelized, about 30-40 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the flour and cook 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually add water and wine (or stock), stirring to avoid lumps. Simmer 15-20 minutes; season with salt and pepper.
- Ladle soup into oven-safe bowls, top with a slice of baguette and a generous layer of both cheeses.
- Broil until the cheese is melted and golden, then serve immediately.
